FAQ
Common questions.
Straight answers about how Augsburg Sites works.
What if I need help or have a question?
We provide real support from a real person. We do not have a call center, support tickets, or chatbots. When you email us you will get a real response from a real person who knows your church and your website. We are here to help.
How does content editing work?
Your team logs in to a clean, focused admin interface and manages content — pages, sermons, events, announcements — through a structured editor. No code, no technical knowledge required. We configure it specifically for each church so editors only see what they need.
Do church staff need technical training?
No. Uploading newsletters or editing an announcement feels simple. We hide everything technical so your team can focus on content, not settings. Moreover, we are happy to meet with your staff to walk through the process.
What happens when we need a new page or feature?
Small content changes are handled by your editors. The Standard Plan includes additional support for new page types, layouts, or small features. Larger customizations may require a quote, but we always start with a conversation to understand your needs and recommend the best path forward.
How fast are the websites?
Website load times are one of our highest priorities. We believe the most important aspect of your church website is to get the important information quickly. We optimize every site for performance, and we will monitor it regularly without you needing to do anything.
Can we use our own domain? Does it cost extra?
You may use your own domain, and there is no extra cost for it. Already have a domain? Great, we can help you transfer it or point it to your new site. Need a domain? We can assist with registration and setup as part of the onboarding process.
What if we want to leave?
You own your content. We can export everything and hand it off cleanly. We don't lock you in.
How long does it take to build a new site?
A typical Starter or Standard site takes 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. This includes discovery, design, content migration, and review. Complex or multi-site projects take longer. We will give you a more specific timeline after initial conversations based on your needs and goals.
